椿の蔵は、「日本人のルーツが花咲く」をテーマに、川越の伝統的建築を活かして作られた施設です。1階の和雑貨を扱う「倭物やカヤ」はオリジナルの衣料品や装身雑貨、手拭い、風呂敷、アクセサリーなど種類豊富に取り扱っています。お土産選びにもおすすめです。同じく１階の「足湯喫茶椿や」では季節のオリジナルメニューを足湯に浸かりながらいただくことができます。川越散策の止まり木としてご利用ください。２階はレンタル着物、レンタル和装の「晴衣」。現代の感性でスタイリングを愉しめるよう、新しい和装レンタルを提案しています。同じく２階にはオリジナルのだるま制作ができるワークショップ「Decoだるま工房」があります。絵付けやデコレーションをして、旅の思い出とともにお持ち帰りください。西武新宿線「本川越駅」から徒歩約15分。東武東上線「川越駅」から東武バスで7分、「一番街」にて下車。 On the first floor, 'Yamato Goods Kaya, ' which specializes in Japanese miscellaneous goods, offers a rich variety of original clothing, accessories, hand towels, furoshiki, and more.
